Spotlight: Smart cities in Argentina
While few Argentine cities are pioneers in ICT use, technology adoption is still slow in most municipalities, due to lack of budget and skilled personnel. Barely 1% of localities are experimenting with technology 4.0, according to preliminary results of a study carried out by Prince Consulting with the support of smart cities think tank Recia. "Nearly 10% of cities are in a 3.0 world, where there is some transaction but fewer than half of [administrative] procedures are online, or not completely online," Alejandro Prince, an analyst at Prince Consulting, said during a webinar organized jointly with Recia.
